SCOTCH FANS 
1 c. butter
1/8 tsp. salt
3/4 c. brown sugar, packed
2 1/2 - 2 1/2 c. sifted flour

Cream butter, salt and sugar. Blend in flour to form a stiff dough. Divide into four parts; shape each into a ball. Place on ungreased baking sheets and flatten into circles about 1/2 inch thick. Flute to form scalloped edges. Prick lines on circles with fork, outlining 12 wedges on each.

Bake in 300 degree oven 25-30 minutes until light brown. While warm cut along pricks, but do not cut all the way through. Cool; break into wedges.
