MACARONI AND CHEESE--MICROWAVE 
3 c. water
1 tsp. butter
2 c. uncooked elbow macaroni
3 c. (12 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
2 tsp. flour
1 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. milk
Pepper

In a 3-quart casserole, combine water and 1 teaspoon butter. Cover with a lid and microwave on high for 5 to 6 minutes or until water boils. Stir in macaroni. Cover with lid. Microwave on high 10 minutes, stirring after 5 minutes. Let stand, covered, 5 minutes.

Toss cheese and flour together. Stir into macaroni along with 1 tablespoon butter and milk. Season to taste with pepper. Cover with wax paper. Microwave on high for 6 minutes, stirring after every 2 minutes. Stir before serving. Makes 4 servings.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
