CARAMEL CHOCOLATE BARS 
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
3/4 c. butter, melted
2/3 c. evaporated milk
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1 c. nuts, chopped (optional)
50 Kraft caramels

Combine cake mix, butter and 1/3 cup evaporated milk. Spread half of mixture in lightly greased 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate chips and nuts on top of baked mixture. Melt caramels and remaining milk in top of double boiler. Drizzle over chips and nuts. crumble remaining cake mixture over top and bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove from oven and cool. Cut before serving.
