WHITE BREAKFAST COFFEE CAKE | |
1/2 c. butter 1 c. sugar 2 eggs 2 c. Nunn-Better flour, unsifted (if using Pillsbury or Gold Medal, sift & use scant measure) 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. salt 1 c. sour cream (= 8 oz.) 1 tsp. vanilla TOPPING: 4 tbsp. butter 1 c. brown sugar 2 tsp. cinnamon 1 c. chopped pecans Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs, 1 at a time. Sift together flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Add sour cream and dry ingredients alternately to butter, sugar and egg mixture. Mix after each addition. Add vanilla, mix well. Mix topping in separate bowl. Put half of dough into greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Add half of topping, then rest of dough and rest of topping. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes. |
