PASTOR EARL'S ROLLED OUT BUTTER
COOKIES
 
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 c. butter, slightly softened
2 eggs
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix together flour, soda, and cream of tartar. Cut butter into flour as for pie crust. Beat eggs, sugar, vanilla and salt until thick. Combine both mixtures. Chill about 1 hour. Roll out as thin as possible. Sprinkle white sugar on top as you roll. Cut into desired shape. Bake at 375 degrees. Guaranteed not to stick.
