CREAMY CHERRY SQUARES 
1 1/4 c. quick cooking oatmeal
2 tbsp. flour
5 tbsp. butter, melted
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. almond extract
1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
Whipped cream, optional

Combine oatmeal, flour, butter and sugar until blended. Press mixture until the bottom of an 8 inch square pan. Bake in preheated 400 degrees oven for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and take out pan.

Meanwhile, combine cream cheese, sugar and mix until well blended. Beat in egg and mix well. Spread over cooled crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes until set.

Spread pie filling over cream cheese mixture and continue to bake 15 minutes more. Chill. Top with whipped cream. Cut into squares after chilled.
