CHOCOLATE BREAD PUDDING 
2 sqs. chocolate
3 c. cold milk
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 to 2 c. sm. cubes of stale bread (or toast)

HARD SAUCE:

1/2 c. butter
2 c. confectioners' sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Hard Sauce: Cream well and refrigerate.

Add chocolate to milk in double boiler and heat. When chocolate is melted, beat with rotary egg beater until blended. Combine sugar, salt, and eggs. Add chocolate mixture gradually. Add vanilla. Place bread in greased baking dish. Pour mixture over it. Place dish in pan of hot water and bake at 350 degrees for 60 minutes. Serve hot with Hard Sauce or cold with cream.
