POPCORN BALLS 
4 qts. popped corn
2 c. nuts
1 c. sugar
1 c. butter
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
Few drops food coloring if desired

Mix corn and nuts in a 6 quart bowl. Melt butter in a heavy small pan. Add corn syrup and sugar. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly and simmer 4 minutes. Add vanilla and blend well. Pour over popcorn and nuts mixing well. Let stand 2 minutes to cool. Dampen hands in cold water and shape into balls.
