OLD FASHIONED GINGER SNAPS 
3/4 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
1/4 c. molasses
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 c. flour
Pinch of salt
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Mix all ingredients. Roll in balls and roll balls in sugar. Bake in slow heat.
