FROSTED APPLE BARS 
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 c. Crisco
2 eggs
Milk
Rice Krispies (1 1/2 c.)
3 tsp. butter
6 apples
1 1/4 tsp. cinnamon

Blend 2 egg yolks with milk to make 2/3 cup liquid. Gently mix with 2 1/2 cups flour, 1 tablespoon sugar, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 cup Crisco. Blend until mixed. Do not over mix. Divide into 2 equal balls and roll each to fit a 12 x 15 inch jelly roll pan.

Place 1 crust in pan, cover with 1 1/2 cups Rice Krispies. Thin slice approximately 6 peeled apples (any kind) and place on Rice Krispies. Sprinkle with 1 1/2 cups sugar and 1 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon. Dot with butter (3 teaspoons). Cover with other crust, seal edges, brush crust with 2 slightly beaten egg whites. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. Cool then frost with a thin cover of confectioners frosting.
