“DEBI'S FRESH STRAWBERRY LEMONADE” IS IN:

DEBI'S FRESH STRAWBERRY LEMONADE 
6 lemons
1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup water
8 fresh strawberries
1 tbsp. sugar (for berries)

GARNISH:

3 sliced strawberries
1 lemon, cut into slices

Zest and juice 6 lemons. Set aside.

In a small saucepan combine sugar and water. Cook until it is the consistency of simple syrup. Add a teaspoon of lemon zest during the last 2 minutes. Strain this into a 2-quart pitcher.

Combine the hulled berries with 1 tablespoon sugar and let them sit for 15 minutes. Puree them in a blender. Then run them through a strainer.

Note: You don't want any hunks of berries in the lemonade.

Pour the berry juice into the pitcher containing lemonade mixture and add additional water to make 2-quarts. Stir very well.

Let sit in refrigerator for at least three hours before serving.

To serve, garnish with strawberry slices and lemon slices. Enjoy!
