CHICKEN A LA KING 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. flour
Few grains paprika
2 c. hot chicken stock
1/4 c. milk, scalded
1/2 c. heavy cream
2 c. cooked chicken, chop
1/2 c. pimento, cut in strips
1 c. sliced mushrooms sauteed in 1 tbsp. butter
Salt and pepper
Toast or patty shells

Melt butter. Add flour and paprika. Blend well. Add hot chicken stock, milk and cream. Bring to boil and cook gently 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add beaten egg yolks, chicken, pimento and sauteed mushrooms. Season with salt and pepper. Serve on hot toast or in patty shells. Excellent. 8 servings.
