OATMEAL CAKE 
1 c. oatmeal
1 1/4 c. boiling water
3/4 c. white sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 stick butter
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/3 c. cake flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda

Cover oatmeal with boiling water. Let stand 20 minutes. Cream white and brown sugar with butter, add eggs and vanilla. Mix. Combine remaining dry ingredients and sift into oatmeal. Mix well. Bake in 9"x12" (or layer) pan at 350 degrees until almost done. Put frosting on and bake until done.

FROSTING:

3 tbsp. butter, melted
3/4 c. sugar
2 egg yolks

Mix thoroughly, then blend in:

1 c. shredded coconut
1 c. chopped nuts
3/4 tbsp. cream

If you prefer you may bake the cake completely, cool and add frosting of your choice.
