APPLE CRISP 
1 c. sifted flour
3/4 c. uncooked rolled oats
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. melted butter
1 tsp. cinnamon

FRUIT MIXTURE:

4 to 5 c. apples
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. corn starch
1 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix together crumbs topping ingredients until crumbly. Press 1/2 crumbs in greased 9 inch layer pan. Cover with apples.

In small saucepan cook sugar, corn starch, water and vanilla until thick and clear. Pour over apples. Top with remaining crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
