1 c. plus 2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. butter, soft
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. water
6 oz. chocolate chips
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
6 tbsp. sugar
6 tbsp. brown sugar
1 egg

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Stir together flour, soda and salt. Cream butter and sugars, add vanilla and water. Beat in 1 egg. Add flour mixture; mix well. Stir in nuts.

Spread in greased 13x9 inch pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips over batter. Place in oven for 1-2 minutes. Remove and run knife through dough to marbelize. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Cut into squares.
