HOMEMADE CHICKEN SOUP | |
2 1/2 qts. water 1 1/2 lbs. roasting chicken 1/2 tsp. pepper 1 tbsp. salt 1 tsp. oregano 1 piece fresh parsley 3-4 carrots, diced 1 stalk celery, diced 1 onion, diced 5 chicken bouillon cubes 1 lb. potatoes Boil in large 6 quart pot; chicken, carrots, celery, onion for 45 minutes. Remove chicken and cut off of bone into cube size pieces. Add rest of ingredients and 1 1/2 cups of water. Continue cooking over low flame for 20 minutes. Serves 8 to 10. |
