STRAWBERRY SWIRL | |
1 c. graham cracker crumbs 1 tbsp. sugar 1/4 c. melted butter 2 c. sliced strawberries 1 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry Jello 1 c. sugar 1 c. boiling water 1/2 lb. marshmallows 1/2 c. milk 1 c. whipping cream, whipped or Cool Whip Mix crumbs, sugar, and butter. Press over bottom of 9x9 inch pan. Chill until set. Sprinkle 1 cup sugar over berries. Let stand. Drain juice. Add water to make 1 cup. Add to Jello dissolved in the 1 cup boiling water. Chill until partially set. Combine marshmallows with milk. Heat until melted. Cool. Fold in whipped cream. Add berries to gelatin. Swirl in marshmallow mixture to marble. Pour into crust. Chill until set. Makes 9 or 12 squares. NOTE: Cooked berries may be used instead of fresh ones. |
