2 1/2 c. plain flour 2 tbsp. sugar 1 tbsp. instant minced onion 2 tsp. dill seed 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1 pkg. dry yeast 1 c. cream style cottage cheese 1/4 c. water 1 tbsp. butter 1 lg. egg In large bowl of electric mixer stir 1 cup of the flour and sugar, onion, dill seed, salt, soda and yeast. In saucepan heat cottage cheese, water and butter until very warm (120 degrees). Add this mixture to flour mixture. Beat at low speed until dry ingredients are moistened. Beat at medium speed for 3 minutes. With wooden spoon stir in enough flour to make stiff dough. Cover with plastic wrap. Let rise until doubled, about 1 hour. Work dough to stir down. Turn into well greased 8" round casserole dish. Let rise until double in bulk. Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees until brown, about 40 minutes. Turn out on wire rack. Turn right side up. |
