VEGETABLE & MEAT RING 
1 lb. ground beef
2 tbsp. chopped onion
1 egg, well beaten
Dash of pepper
2 c. creamed peas
1 c. grated carrots
1/4 c. canned tomatoes
1 tsp. salt
3 c. biscuit mix
1 tbsp. chopped pimento

Combine beef, carrots and onion in heavy skillet. Cook until light brown, stirring frequently. Cool. Combine tomatoes, egg and seasonings. Blend. Add to beef mixture. Blend. Prepare biscuit dough according to directions. Roll dough in an oblong 1/4 inch thick. Spread with cooled mixture. Roll like a jelly roll. Bring ends of roll together. Fasten to form a ring.

Place on well oiled baking sheet. With scissors, cut halfway through the roll every 2 inches. Bake in hot oven at 425 degrees for 15 minutes or until nicely brown. Remove. Fill center with creamed peas. Garnish with pimentos.
