SHREWSBURYS 
2/3 c. butter
1 c. white sugar
1 egg
2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Raspberry jam

Cream butter and sugar, add eggs, vanilla, and dry ingredients. Spread half of mixture in pan. Cover with thin coat of raspberry jam. Pat remainder of dough into shape on wax paper and cover with raspberry jam. Bake in 350 degree oven for about 30 minutes. Frost with vanilla icing.
