SPRITZ COOKIE 
1 c. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
2 1/4 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
Dash of salt
1 tsp. almond extract

Cream shortening and sugar. Add egg, beat well. Add sifted dry ingredients and extract. Fill a cookie press. Form cookies on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake in a 375 degree oven 10-12 minutes. Yields about 5 dozen.
