SHREDDED BEEF FOR SANDWICHES 
Sirloin tip roast, boneless, 5 to 6 lbs.
1 can beef consomme
1 jar (can) Franco-American beef gravy
1 env. Lipton onion soup mix
Onion
Salt & pepper
Garlic salt

Salt, pepper and garlic salt the roast. Combine in crock pot: roast, beef consomme, 1 jar gravy and Lipton onion soup mix. Cook on low 10 to 12 hours. After 7 to 8 hours, fluff up the beef with a fork. Toward the end of the time, add sliced onion. Serve on hard rolls.

Since gravy is so easy to make, I would make it from scratch, ditto onion soup. Both those are REALLY high in salt and better flavor homemade...
