APPLE PIE 
4 c. Golden Delicious apples
1 sm. can crushed pineapple
1 tbsp. tapioca
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Butter flavoring
Little water

Peel and slice apples. Put in pan with a little water and crushed pineapple and steam until soft. Remove from stove. Add remaining ingredients. Let cool slightly. Pour into unbaked pie shell and cover with crust. Slit holes in top layer to let steam escape.

Bake 20 minutes at 400 degrees. Then turn down heat to 350 degrees and bake 15 to 20 minutes longer or until light brown.
