1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
1/2 c. butter
1 pkg. (10 oz.) caramels
1/2 can (14 oz.) condensed milk
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. chocolate chips

Mix cake mix as directed on package. Pour 1/2 batter into greased and floured 13x9 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.

Melt butter and caramels; mix well. Stir in condensed milk.

Sprinkle nuts and chocolate chips over baked cake. Pour caramel mixture over all. Pour remaining cake batter over caramel mixture and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.
