GREAT CHILI 
2 lb. ground beef
1 onion, chopped
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
2 c. water
1 c. chopped green pepper
2-3 tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. cumin
1/4 tsp. oregano
3 (16 oz.) cans kidney beans, undrained
1/4 tsp. garlic powder

Combine ground beef and onion in a Dutch oven. Cook until beef is browned. Stir to crumble meat. Drain off pan drippings. Add remaining ingredients except kidney beans; cover and simmer 20 minutes.

Stir in kidney beans; continue to cook, covered 45 minutes. Remove cover. Cook 15 minutes.
