SWEET AND SOUR MEATBALLS 
1 lb. hamburger
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. shortening
1 green pepper, cut into strips
1 med. onion, sliced
3 c. pineapple juice
1/2 c. Heinz 57
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 c. water

Thoroughly combine hamburger, egg, salt and pepper; form into meatballs. Brown meatballs in shortening. Add green pepper and onion; saute until vegetables are tender. Stir in pineapple juice and Heinz 57. Cover; simmer 15 minutes. Uncover. Thicken with cornstarch and water. Serve over cooked rice.
