1 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. sifted plain flour
box of 4 X powdered sugar
1/4 c. white sugar
1 tbsp. water
1 c. chopped nuts

Mix butter, vanilla, sugar, water, flour, and nuts by hand. Shape into balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 350 for 20 minutes or until light brown. Roll in powdered sugar.

Makes about 3 dozen.
