FRUIT COBBLER 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. butter
3 tsp. baking powder
1 qt. fresh fruit of your choice

Melt butter in the pan in which cobbler will be baked. Sift together flour, sugar, and baking powder. Add milk to make a batter. Pour into pan of melted butter. Add fruit. Bake at 335 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
