1 stick butter 1 (10 1/2 oz.) bag sm. marshmallows 1 sm. box corn flakes, crushed Green food coloring Cinnamon red hots, sprinkles, etc. for decoration Over low heat melt 1 stick of butter. Pour in 1 bag of small marshmallows. Cook over low heat until marshmallows are melted. Remove from heat. Add green food coloring until mixture is desired shade of green. Pour in corn flakes; mix until well-blended. Using buttered hands, shape into wreaths. Use about 1 teaspoon mixture per wreath. Place on waxed paper. Sprinkle with red-hots, sprinkles, etc. Leave open to the air approximately 24 hours to harden. Microwave Instructions: Microwave butter in large bowl on high 45 seconds or until melted. Add marshmallows; toss to coat with butter. Microwave 1 1/2 minutes or until smooth when stirred, stirring after 45 seconds. Add food coloring and cereal; toss until well coated. Continue as directed. |
