HAMBURGER PIE 
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 onion, chopped
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
16 oz. can green beans, drained
10 3/4 oz. can condensed tomato soup
5 hot med. potatoes, cooked
1/2 c. warm milk
1 beaten egg
1/2 c. shredded American cheese

Cook meat and onion until meat is lightly browned and onion tender. Add salt and pepper, drained beans and soup. Pour into greased 1 1/2 quart casserole. Mash potatoes, while hot, add milk and egg. Season with salt and pepper. Spoon mashed potatoes in mounds in a circle over meat mixture. Sprinkle potatoes with cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Serves 4 to 6.
