THE BEST APPLE PIE 
Pillsbury ready crust
6 heaping c. sliced tart apples
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg

TOP CRUST:

1/2 c. oats
1/4 c. flour
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon

Prepare Pillsbury ready crust as directed for bottom crust. Mix sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg together in large bowl; add apples. Turn apples until coated. Put into pie crust. Cut butter into oats, flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon until very crumbly. Put on top of the apples evenly. Bake at 375 degrees for 40-45 minutes until golden brown.

NOTE: Put aluminum foil on bottom of oven to catch drippings. Serve with butter pecan ice cream.
