2 tbsp. oil
1/2 lb. chopped meat
1/4 onion
1 clove garlic
1 tsp. salt
1 sausage link
2 c. tomatoes, strained or puree
1/2 can tomato paste
1/2 c. water
Pinch of parsley and basil
1/8 c. red wine

Place oil in saucepan, add onion and garlic. Cook a few minutes. Add meat and brown. Add tomato paste and cook 3 minutes, add wine and cook 2 minutes. Then add tomatoes, water and spices. Cook 1/2 to 3/4 hour. Meatball mixture may be added in place of chopped beef and sausage.
