2 c. sugar
3 egg yolks
1 can (flat) crushed pineapple, drained
1 med. bottle cherries, quartered
1/2 lb. butter
1 c. pecans, chopped
1 lg. box vanilla wafers

Cream butter with 1 cup sugar. Blend other cup with egg yolks. Combine mixture. Add pineapple. Mix. Add cherries and nuts, mix well. Line 9 inch square cake pan with waxed paper. Layer alternately vanilla wafers and mixture. Cover with waxed paper and compress mixture with a plate or other object. Refrigerate overnight. Cut into squares to serve. Keep refrigerated.
