OATMEAL BROWNIES 
3/4 c. uncooked oats
2/3 c. all purpose flour
1/3 c. packed light brown sugar
1/4 c. granulated sugar
2 tsp. instant coffee
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate or 1 c. chips, melted with 6 tbsp. butter
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. pecans, chopped coarse

Mix oats, flour, sugars, instant coffee, soda and salt in bowl. Stir in chocolate and butter mixture, eggs, vanilla, and pecans until well blended.

Pour into lightly greased 8 inch square baking pan and bake in 375 degree oven 25-30 minutes until pick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack at least 4 hours and dust with confectioners sugar before cutting in squares. Makes 16.
