LIMA AND BARLEY SOUP 
1 1/2 lbs. soup meat
2 or 3 bones
1/2 c. barley
1/2 c. lima beans
4 qts. water
3 carrots, sliced
2 med. potatoes, cut up in chunks
1 onion
1 can whole tomatoes

Bring meat and bones to a boil and skim off foam. Simmer for 1 hour. Add rest of the ingredients and cook for 1 hour longer. Serves 12.
