PUNGENT MEAT LOAF 
2 eggs, slightly beaten
2/3 c. fine dry bread or cracker crumbs
1/2 tsp. ground sage
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
3/4 c. milk
1/4 c. grated onion
1 tsp. salt
Dash of pepper
1/4 c. ketchup
1 tsp. dry mustard

Mix together eggs, milk, crumbs, onion, salt, sage and pepper. Add to beef and mix well. Place mixture in a loaf pan. Mix ketchup, brown sugar, mustard and nutmeg; spread over the top of meat mixture. Bake about 1 hour at 350 degrees. Serves 6 or 8.
