PUMPKIN SPICE PUPPY CHOW | |
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter 1 (13 1/2 oz.) box (about 9 cups) cinnamon flavored bite-sized square rice cereal 2 cups confectioners' sugar 2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice 1 (6 oz.) can roasted salted whole almonds Melt butter and chocolate chips in 1-quart saucepan over low heat, stir until smooth. Add peanut butter, continue cooking, stirring constantly, until smooth. Remove from heat. Place cereal into bowl, pour chocolate mixture over cereal. Stir until well coated. Transfer mixture to 1 gallon resealable plastic food bag. Add confectioners' sugar and pumpkin pie spice. Seal bag tightly. Shake bag until confectioners' sugar evenly coats cereal and almonds.
