FRENCH SILK CHOCOLATE PIE 
1/2 c. butter, cut into 8 equal pats
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 lg. eggs
1 oz. square unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
8 inch baked pie shell
Whipped cream (for garnish)

In small mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in chocolate and vanilla until well blended. Add eggs, one at a time, beating with an electric mixer at medium speed for 5 minutes after each addition. Turn into pastry shell. Chill. Garnish with whipped cream.

I have been using this recipe for 40 years. Never have had a raw egg problem, and for a chocolate pie, you just cannot beat it. Garnish with only whipped cream. You are cheating yourself if you don't. Enjoy the calories and fat, but you really only need a tiny slice:)
