SQUASH PATTIES 
1 egg, beaten
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. finely chopped onion
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash black pepper
2 tbsp. milk
1 c. cooked mashed squash
1/2 c. self rising flour

Combine all ingredients, mixing well. Drop mixture by tablespoon into 1/8 inch hot oil in large skillet. Flatten patties to 1/4 inch thick. Cook until brown on both sides. Yields: approximately 14.
