CRANBERRY CAKE WITH BUTTER SAUCE 
2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg, beaten
3 tbsp. melted butter
2/3 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. whole cranberries

Sift dry ingredients into a large bowl. In a smaller bowl blend beaten egg, melted butter, milk and vanilla. Pour over dry ingredients. Beat 2 minutes. Stir in the cranberries by hand. Pour in greased 7 x 11 inch pan. Bake 40 to 50 minutes at 350 degrees.

BUTTER SAUCE:

In a double boiler, melt: 2 c. brown sugar 1 1/2 c. half & half or condensed milk 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon Dash of salt

Cook in double boiler, whisking constantly until well blended. Serve warm.
