RAISIN CAKE AND BUTTER SAUCE 
1 c. brown sugar
2/3 c. butter
2/eggs
1 c. sour milk
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 c. raisins

Mix above ingredients and spread in greased and floured 9 x 13 pan. Bake 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees.

SAUCE:

1 1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. butter
3/4 c. evaporated milk
2 tsp. vanilla

Heat sauce ingredients in a double boiler and mix thoroughly with a wire wisp. Pour sauce over pieces of cake when serving.
