STROGANOFF STEAK ROLLS | |
4 cube steaks 4 tsp. prepared mustard 4 slices diced raw bacon 1/2 c. minced onions 1/2 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1/3 c. flour 1 tsp. paprika 2 tbsp. shortening 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms and liquid 1/2 pt. dairy sour cream Pound steaks thin, spread with mustard. Mix raw bacon, minced onion, salt, and pepper. Spread equally over steaks. Roll steaks and tie with a string. Coat with flour, mixed with paprika. Brown rolls in 2 tablespoons shortening in frying pan. Add mushrooms, and liquid, 1 1/2 cups water, and 2 beef bouillon cubes. Cover, simmer 1 1/2 hours or until tender and liquid is reduced to one half. Stir in 1/2 pint sour cream (dairy). Heat, but do not boil. |
