SPICY BLACK EYE PEA SOUP 
5 slices bacon
1 c. onion, chopped
2 c. tomatoes, chopped or 1 can stewed
Garlic salt or powder
3 c. water
2 beef bouillon cubes
2 tbsp. jalapenos, chopped
2 cans black-eye peas
3 c. grated Cheddar cheese

Saute bacon, onions, jalapenos, tomatoes, garlic in bacon drippings. Add the water; dissolve beef bouillon. Drain the juice from the peas and add to the soup. Add the cheese and simmer.
