GREAT GRAM BRUCE'S ROLLS 
1 pt. potato water
1 pt. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
8 mixing spoonfuls shortening
1/2 pkg. yeast dissolved in 1 c. warm water & a little sugar
1 egg
Enough flour to make a medium stiff dough

Just let rise. Put in oven at 400 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes. This makes 4 pans of rolls.
