GERMAN CHOCOLATE CAKE TOPPING 
1 c. evaporated milk
1 c. sugar
3 egg yolks
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/3 c. flaked coconut
1 c. chopped pecans, walnuts or almonds

Combine evaporated milk, sugar, egg yolks, butter and vanilla in small saucepan. Cook and stir over medium heat until thick, about 12 minutes. Stir in coconut and nuts. Beat until thick enough to spread. Makes 2 1/2 cups.

Spread on 2 layers of chocolate cake for the ultimate German Chocolate Cake.
