DEEP DISH BROWNIES 
3/4 c. melted butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
3/4 c. unsifted flour
1/2 c. Hershey's cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt (omit if salted butter used)

Blend melted butter, sugar and vanilla in a bowl. Add eggs and beat well with spoon. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; gradually add to egg mixture until well blended. Spread in greased 8 inch square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until brownie begins to pull away from edges. Cool and cut. Be careful not to overcook! This recipe can be doubled use 9 x 13 x 2 inch pan. Other variations: Frost. Add 1 cup peanut butter, mint chips or nuts.
