CRANBERRY BREAD | |
1 c. cranberries 1 c. sugar 3 c. flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. butter, melted 1 medium orange water 1/2 c. nuts (optional) Grease bread loaf pan. In mixing bowl, combine sugar, flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and melted butter. Set aside. Grate the orange rind and add to sugar mixture. Squeeze juice from orange into a measuring cup. Add enough water to make 1 1/4 cups liquid. Add liquid to sugar mixture. Mix well. Add cranberries and nuts until blended. Pour into bread loaf pan. Bake at 350°F about 45 to 50 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. |
