CRANBERRY BREAD 
2 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoons grated orange peel
2 tablespoons shortening
Juice of one orange
1 egg, beaten
1 cup cranberries, chopped

Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt and orange peel in large mixing bowl. Cut in shortening. Add water to orange juice to measure 3/4 cup and combine with flour mixture. Stir in egg and cranberries. Pour into greased loaf pan.

Bake in preheated 350°F oven 60 - 70 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

Note: Omit salt, baking powder and baking soda if using self rising flour.
