WALLOWA LAKE CASSEROLE 
1 (8 oz.) pkg. noodles, cooked and drained
1 lb. ground beef
2 onions, chopped
2 tbsp. butter
4 oz. sliced mushrooms with liquid
1/2 lb. American cheese, diced
1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 c. milk

Brown beef and onions in butter. Mix rest of ingredients and add to noodles and meat. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. Fifteen minutes before done, sprinkle top with 1 cup chow mein noodles. (Can be put in two casseroles and frozen for later use.) Serves 12.
