THE WORLD'S BEST CRUMB CAKE | |
1 box white cake mix 4 eggs 2/3 c. milk 2/3 c. vegetable oil CRUMBS: 4 c. flour 2/3 c. brown sugar 2/3 c. sugar 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tbsp. vanilla 3 sticks butter CAKE: Beat ingredients together for 4 minutes. Grease a cookie sheet (with sides) and pour batter in cookie sheet. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool. CRUMBS: Mix flour, sugars and cinnamon. Melt butter. Add vanilla to butter and let cool somewhat. Pour butter and vanilla into flour mixture - crumbling with hands. Put crumbs on cake and bake for 15-20 minutes at 350°F. Cool and then sprinkle with confectioners' sugar. |

The additional 20 minutes for the crumb topping after the cake is done seems excessive especially since the cake is baked in a cookie pan .
